The majestic Zillertal Alps cater to everyone’s taste with approx. 1,000 km of hiking paths and stunning views.
Mayrhofen is located at the entrance to four side valleys: the “Gründe”. The scenery is stunning with secluded pastures, crystal-clear mountain lakes and glacier-covered peaks. These valleys are part of the Zillertal Hauptkamm nature reserve.
The three side valleys – Zillergrund, Stilluptal and Schlegeis – offer spectacular views of reservoirs and fantastic hiking opportunities.
Start your hike down in the valley or catch a ride up on the Penken or Ahorn cable car to around 2,000 m and start your mountain tour from there. With the Zillertal Activcard card, you can take part guided hikes every day.
The “Adlerweg”, Tyrol’s main hiking trail, is split into 31 stages with four in the Mayrhofen-Hippach region.
You can find interesting themed paths in the Zillertal Alps Nature Park: We are a partner business. You can take part in all guided tours offered by the Nature Park for free as well as other park events, such as lectures, slide shows, etc.
